I've always enjoyed editing and directing small films. I have experience in iMovie and smaller editing applications. Creating small films whether it's for fun or for school projects have always been a fun hobby of mine that I've enjoyed perfecting.
Gamma Theta Back to School Video 2022
As the Public Relations and Social Media Committee Chair for my sorority chapter, it is my job to come up with creative ideas for our Instagram content. We do an annual back to school video that consists of tips for incoming freshmen at Hampton University. This year, I scripted, produced, and creative directed our back to school video titled, "The Ivy League." This is a play on words as our sorority's symbol is an ivy and Hampton University is considered a 'black ivy league school.' This video received tons of praise and was even featured on Watch the Yard, a prominent social media page that features black Greek life.
Gamma Theta First Day of Classes Video 2022
I run the Instagram page for my sorority's chapter. Every Tuesday, my chapter dresses up in our colors for what we call "Pretty Tuesday." This school year, the first Pretty Tuesday of the year happened to be on the first day of classes. To celebrate, we handed out pink lemonade to get people in the spirit. I directed a recap video to go on our page and to thank everyone for coming out to support. This video got over 13,000 views on Instagram.
AKA Week 2022
Promo Video
I'm a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I am the Public Relations and Social Media Committee Chair, which means I manage and create the content for our social media pages as well as come up with promotional content for our events. Every year, we host "AKA Week." Each year, there is a chosen theme and we put on events that help convey the theme. This year's theme was the "75th GT Awards," modeled after the BET Awards for the Gamma Theta Chapter's 75th Charter year. To introduce the theme and week I directed a promotional video that was posted on the Instagram page.
Intro to Radio & Film
Final Class Project
This past school year, I was able to take an Intro to Radio & Film class. In this class I was introduced to the foundations of Adobe Premiere. When I usually edit, I am used to iMovie or CapCut. Learning Adobe Premiere was one of the best experiences. For my final project I recorded a video that displayed one of my Bumble marketing stunts that my team and I hosted.
